About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic initiatives for the Meeting & Events Department to drive business expansion and growth
- Ensure smooth running of the department and high levels of client and guest experience
- Develop and implement strategies based on departmental metrics and tracking tools
- Manage the team life cycle, fostering a culture of growth, development, and performance
- Prepare and manage the departmental budget, sales targets, and cost controls
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Establish programs to advance sales and profitability while incorporating environmental concerns
- Ensure adherence to all legislation and due diligence requirements for audits
Requirements
- Proven experience in a meeting & events environment
- Relevant qualification in Hospitality
- Strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding analytical and strategic skills with a financial perspective
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
- Ability to handle multiple challenging priorities and assignments
- Commitment to exceptional guest service
