Medium/High Voltage Lineman

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain overhead and underground medium to high voltage power lines, transformers, circuit breakers, and switches
• String wire conductors, set utility poles, and erect transmission towers using specialized heavy machinery
• Inspect, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems and components to identify problems and locate cable faults
• Respond to power outages and emergencies caused by inclement weather or equipment failure
• Attach grounding devices to remove electrical hazards and clear hazards near energized installations

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• At least 5 years of experience as a Medium or High Voltage linesman
• Journeyman Lineman experience
• Class B CDL
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and climb utility poles or towers
• Ability to work on-call, including holidays and weekends
• Ability to pass a government background check
