Medium Voltage Switchgear Assembler

Responsibilities

• Assemble fabricated metal parts for switchgear cabinets according to technical specifications
• Review and follow blueprints, diagrams, drawings, and work instructions for enclosure buildings
• Perform mechanical assembly of components using various power and hand tools such as drills, impacts, and grinders
• Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure products meet standards and identify any defects
• Monitor and maintain inventory of necessary supplies, tools, and parts at the workstation
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 0-2 years of experience in an assembly or manufacturing setting
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring drawings, schematics, and engineering diagrams
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools (e.g., tape measures, impact drills)
• Basic math skills for technical measurements and specifications
• Demonstrated ability to safely operate powered equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, or scissor lifts
• Physical ability to stand, bend, and kneel for prolonged periods and lift up to 35 pounds
