About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the Mechanical Engineering design team supporting MV design in Jacksonville
- Oversee the design and standardization of custom medium voltage products like switchgear and bus bars
- Ensure designs comply with UL, IEEE, and ANSI standards
- Optimize CAD software usage to streamline the design-to-order process
- Partner with sales, planning, production, and quality control teams to ensure manufacturability and timely delivery
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce design cycle times
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Extensive experience in medium voltage design
- 5+ years of demonstrated leadership of cross-functional programs or teams
- Experience with FEA tools and simulation-based design optimization
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
- Strong understanding of UL, IEEE, and ANSI standards
