Medication Technician

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with routine administration of medications
• Order, receive, and take inventory of medications
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the medication cart
• Communicate clearly with residents, families, and the clinical team

Requirements

• State Medication Aide Certificate
• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
• At least one year of experience as a Medication Technician
• Valid CPR certification (or ability to obtain)
• Reliable transportation to meet attendance and punctuality standards
• Active role requiring walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs
• Effective verbal and written English communication
• Comfortable working around animals and pets

Preferred Qualifications

• Personal or professional experience in memory care or with individuals living with Alzheimer’s or dementia
