About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of medication-related care for residents
- Maintain resident charts and ensure documentation is current
- Communicate resident status changes to supervisors and administrators
- Ensure accurate medication administration records (MARs) and physician orders
- Oversee the community absence medication program
- Manage medication room inventory and stock levels
- Coordinate with contracted pharmacies regarding deliveries and audits
- Monitor psychotropic medication use and resident behaviors
- Prepare and administer medications in accordance with regulations
- Assist in coordinating medical appointments
Requirements
- Completion of a certified Medication Technician training program
- Minimum of six months experience in long-term care or home care
- Current CPR certification
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and verbal instructions)
- Basic math and communication skills
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to work flexible hours and provide coverage as needed
- Ability to lift and transfer residents up to 125 pounds
