Medication Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide medication reminders and assistance according to state regulations
• Administer medications as allowed by state guidelines
• Order and receive medication and coordinate with pharmacy
• Maintain resident records in digital platform daily, including distribution and observations
• Perform regular room visits and safety checks
• Monitor resident safety and well-being, communicating changes to health leadership
• Audit rooms for self-administered medication compliance
• Respond to resident requests, emergency pull cords, and telephone calls

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience
• Medication certification as required by state guidelines
• Successful completion of ESL medication competency
• First Aid and CPR Certification
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work varied schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays
