Medication Aide

Responsibilities

• Provide residents with medication administration and treatment assistance according to healthcare provider orders
• Supervise residents self-administering medication following regulatory guidelines
• Report changes in residents' physical condition or behaviors
• Maintain resident records regarding medication distribution, incidents, and observations
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, dressing, and medication reminders
• Provide emotional and social support to residents
• Document daily logs of assistance and inform supervisors of resident concerns
• Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to community policies

Requirements

• CMA license required
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift at least 51 lbs regularly
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding)
• Physical ability to assist residents requiring physical support

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience caring for residents with memory impairment
