Medication Aide

Responsibilities

• Communicate questions, concerns, or discrepancies regarding medication administration to the Resident Care Director (RCD)
• Report any significant changes in a resident's mental or physical status to the RCD
• Document supervision of self-administration in the Medication Administration Record (MAR)
• Document and notify the RCD regarding the administration of PRN medications and their effects
• Assist in the prevention of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation

Requirements

• Valid New Hampshire Medication Aide (MNA) License
• Completion of a state-approved medication technician training course
• Current CPR certification or the ability to obtain it within six months of hire
• Current certification as a nursing assistant or successful completion of a certified home health aide/homemaker training program
• High School education preferred
