Medication Aide

Responsibilities

• Communicate questions, concerns, or medication administration discrepancies to the Resident Care Director (RCD)
• Report any significant changes in a resident's mental or physical status to the RCD
• Document supervision of self-administration in the Medication Administration Record (MAR)
• Document and notify the RCD regarding the administration of PRN medications and their effects
• Assist in the prevention of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation

Requirements

• Valid New Hampshire Medication Aide (MNA) license
• State Medication Technician License with demonstrated competency in drug administration
• Current Nursing Assistant certification or completion of a certified home health aide/homemaker training program
• CPR certification (or ability to obtain within six months of hire)
• High School education preferred
