Medical Translator

Responsibilities

• Act as a communication medium between medical professionals and patients by translating medical conditions, treatment options, and follow-up details
• Translate medical texts, reports, and documents between English and Arabic to ensure patient understanding
• Interpret critical medical advice and surgical procedures using accurate and comprehensible terminology
• Communicate with patients and families to identify and resolve issues in coordination with caregivers
• Relay cultural nuances and issues to medical staff to improve patient care
• Assist in conducting post-treatment follow-up activities as required
• Perform data collection activities including auditing, compiling, and verifying medical information

Requirements

• Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic
• 2+ years of experience in a similar medical translation or interpretation role
• Strong understanding of medical terminologies
• Ability to communicate messages in a clear and culturally sensitive manner
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Practical knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure
