Medical Transcriptionist

Responsibilities

• Transcribe physicians’ notes and medical reports into the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Support the transition of patient data from paper to digital formats in line with regulations
• Manage medical record policies, including retention, destruction, and compliance requirements
• Coordinate insurance requests and approvals for prescribed treatments
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient visits, treatments, and referrals
• Provide administrative support to physicians, including handling test results and patient documentation
• Safeguard and process patient information requests while ensuring confidentiality and compliance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
• 2+ years of progressive career experience
• Ability to transcribe recorded Physicians’ diagnosis and encode in software or systems
• Understanding of medical terminologies
• Strong attention to detail
• Fluency in written and spoken Arabic
