About the role
Responsibilities
- Collect blood samples via venipuncture
- Handle and process blood and urine samples
- Run calibrations, quality control, proficiency testing, and patient samples on laboratory analyzers
- Review and interpret lab results and enter them into electronic medical record systems
- Perform scheduled analyzer maintenance
- Participate in training for vision testing, ECG, vitals, spirometry, and audiometry
Requirements
- Associate's Degree
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance
- Licensed by the State of Tennessee as a Medical Technologist (MLS or CLS)
- Experience in blood sample collection and processing
- Experience running calibrations and quality control on laboratory analyzers
