Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, process, transfer, and pack patient samples for laboratory testing
• Partner with clinical teams to provide feedback on sample quality and logistics
• Complete registration, documentation, and tracking of samples using vendor platforms
• Prepare specimens for sendout to reference labs, including spinning, aliquoting, and labeling
• Perform Point of Care testing and communicate critical values to the care team
• Maintain the laboratory environment and equipment in a clean, safe, and compliant state
• Perform accurate, legal, and ethical documentation
• Assist with ordering and tracking inventory for medical, phlebotomy, and laboratory supplies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific field (Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or similar)
• Active California MLT license
• 3+ years of laboratory experience in Point of Care and High Throughput environments
• Experience in Hematology and Chemistry
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with waived and moderate laboratory operations
• Experience with phlebotomy and patient-facing care
• Experience with accessioning and specimen processing
