Medical Support Specialist (RN Nurse) - Plasma Center

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including medical history interviews, physical examinations, and blood testing.
• Manage donor adverse events and evaluate reactions according to established SOPs.
• Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable findings.
• Support medical emergency protocols and coordinate donor transport to emergency care if necessary.
• Manage employee incidents and support environmental, health, and safety (EHS) initiatives.
• Assist with vaccination programs and serve as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, including a graduate equivalent of a recognized nursing program.
• Current license or certification as a Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA).
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Valid state certification for basic IV therapy.
• At least two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Ability to complete FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialists.
