Medical Specialist I (Gastro)

Responsibilities

• Engage adult and pediatric gastroenterologists and key customers within an assigned territory to present clinically focused selling messages.
• Drive product revenue and achieve sales goals through strategic execution of tactics within key accounts.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with healthcare experts, nurses, office staff, and patient advocacy groups.
• Collaborate with district colleagues, alliance counterparts, and internal field teams to address market dynamics and customer needs.
• Participate in industry-related congresses, local meetings, and medical conferences to support brand objectives.
• Demonstrate advanced clinically-based selling skills and navigate complex institutional settings and Ambulatory Surgery Centers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree or advanced certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience selling in the Gastroenterology market or a similar subcutaneous self-injectable biologic specialty market.
• Proven track record of consistent sales performance and success with product launches.
• Ability to travel and cover large geographic territories including Long Island, Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island.
