Medical Specialist I (Gastro)

Responsibilities

• Engage Gastroenterologists and key customers to present clinically focused selling messages to drive product utilization and revenue growth.
• Develop and execute territory strategies within the Gastroenterology therapeutic area.
• Build strong working relationships with healthcare experts, nurses, office staff, and patient advocacy groups.
• Collaborate with district colleagues, alliance counterparts, and internal field teams to address market dynamics and customer needs.
• Participate in industry congresses, local meetings, and medical conferences to support brand objectives.
• Demonstrate advanced clinically-based selling skills and maintain high integrity within compliance guidelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or advanced certifications are a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience selling in the Gastroenterology market or a similar subcutaneous self-injectable biologic specialty market.
• Proven track record of sales success in complex markets and with product launches.
• Ability to travel and cover large geographic territories.
• Experience in-servicing and training office staff, nurses, and office managers.
