Responsibilities

  • Actively contribute to a welcoming, non-judgmental environment for clients
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage client check-ins, registration, and demographic data updates in the EHR
  • Perform receptionist duties and connect clients with appropriate services
  • Collaborate with service providers to manage schedules, appointments, and recalls
  • Handle day-to-day administrative tasks including booking, screening calls, and referrals
  • Maintain accurate Electronic Health Records (EHR) through scanning, faxing, and filing
  • Assist with opening and closing facilities according to established procedures

Requirements

  • Completion of a 1-year post-secondary program in Office Administration - Health Services
  • Minimum 3 years of recent experience as a Medical Secretary in a clinical workplace
  • Over 1 year of experience triaging calls in a medical office
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
  • Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Microsoft Office
  • Minimum keyboarding speed of 45 net words per minute
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including at least one evening per week

Preferred Qualifications

  • Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
  • Experience working with marginalized communities and understanding social determinants of health
