Responsibilities
- Actively contribute to a welcoming, non-judgmental environment for clients
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- Manage client check-ins, registration, and demographic data updates in the EHR
- Perform receptionist duties and connect clients with appropriate services
- Collaborate with service providers to manage schedules, appointments, and recalls
- Handle day-to-day administrative tasks including booking, screening calls, and referrals
- Maintain accurate Electronic Health Records (EHR) through scanning, faxing, and filing
- Assist with opening and closing facilities according to established procedures
Requirements
- Completion of a 1-year post-secondary program in Office Administration - Health Services
- Minimum 3 years of recent experience as a Medical Secretary in a clinical workplace
- Over 1 year of experience triaging calls in a medical office
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Microsoft Office
- Minimum keyboarding speed of 45 net words per minute
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including at least one evening per week
Preferred Qualifications
- Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
- Experience working with marginalized communities and understanding social determinants of health
