Medical Scientist

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of haematology and blood transfusion tests, including morphology analysis, in accordance with laboratory protocols
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
• Ensure compliance with ISO 15189 and local health and safety standards
• Interpret complex test results and communicate findings effectively
• Collaborate with clinical teams to support diagnosis and treatment planning

Requirements

• CORU registration (or eligibility to register)
• BSc in Biomedical Science or equivalent recognised qualification
• Proven experience in haematology and blood transfusion, including morphology
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
