Medical Scientist HIV

Responsibilities

• Implement medical goals and strategic initiatives within the HIV therapeutic area, covering both treatment and prevention.
• Provide medical education by presenting scientific and clinical data to healthcare providers, the HIV community, and internal stakeholders.
• Respond to on- and off-label clinical inquiries regarding marketed or developmental products.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), clinical investigators, and healthcare professionals.
• Support clinical operations by identifying research sites and assisting with investigator recruitment and enrollment challenges.
• Support investigator-sponsored research by aligning study ideas with Gilead's strategic priorities and data gaps.
• Communicate field insights regarding HCP perceptions of the HIV landscape and competitor products to internal teams.

Requirements

• Advanced health sciences degree (MD, PharmD, or PhD preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in healthcare or the pharmaceutical industry.
• Bilingual proficiency in both French and English is required.
• Ability to travel up to 70% of the time, including domestic and international travel and occasional weekend travel for conferences.
• Must reside in the Greater Montreal Area.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build relationships with opinion leaders and patient advocacy groups.
• Excellent scientific and business acumen with strong oral and written communication skills.
