Medical Scientific Liaison

Responsibilities

• Provide scientific and technical leadership to build credible relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and external experts
• Communicate scientific information regarding Abbott's Core Diagnostics products in a non-promotional manner
• Deliver credible presentations on scientific matters to physicians and healthcare professionals
• Support internal sales and marketing teams by providing scientific updates and technical expertise
• Facilitate medical and scientific field intelligence, including competitor research and medical strategies
• Attend scientific meetings and conferences to develop summaries of key data to inform strategic priorities
• Provide expert medical and scientific advice for assigned products and therapeutic areas

Requirements

• MD, PharmD, PhD, or Nurse Practitioner (NP)
• 5+ years of clinical experience
• Demonstrated diagnostics literacy, including infectious disease, lab workflows, and assay performance
• Ability to interpret and communicate complex scientific data to diverse audiences
• Willingness to travel 30–60%

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct clinical experience in infectious disease diagnostics and its application to patient care
• Strong scientific writing and stakeholder engagement skills
