About the role
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain an in-depth scientific and clinical understanding of neurology and rheumatology
- Identify, develop, and maintain collaborative relationships with key opinion leaders, speakers, and investigators
- Communicate complex, cutting-edge scientific information and research concepts to healthcare professionals
- Develop the territory by maximizing engagements with multidisciplinary HCPs through personalized engagement plans
- Systematically collect and share insights from HCP engagements to inform product strategy
- Develop a regional medical plan aligned with national priorities and evaluate progress against regional goals
- Manage field activities related to the submission and execution of Investigator Supported Studies (ISS)
- Support reimbursement efforts by providing clinical and scientific clarity to support therapeutic decisions
- Travel 50% or more to cover Quebec (base), Atlantic Provinces, MB, and SK
Requirements
- Advanced scientific or clinical degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, etc.)
- 3+ years of relevant biopharmaceutical industry experience
- Experience in rare disease and/or neurology and/or rheumatology
- Bilingualism in French and English is required
- Must reside in the province of Quebec
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Medical Science Liaison
- Experience in medical affairs product launches
- Strategic, analytical thinking and strong problem-solving skills
- Solid understanding of clinical trial design and statistical analyses
- Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) software
- Strong organization and project management capabilities
