Medical Science Liaison

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with pediatric neurologists, neuromuscular specialists, and other key medical experts
• Engage in scientific exchange with healthcare professionals around clinical and research data
• Deliver fair-balanced and objective clinical and scientific presentations to healthcare professionals, payors, and patient organizations
• Serve as a core liaison to key institutions, supporting ongoing and future clinical studies and scientific collaborations
• Attend national and regional medical meetings and symposia
• Collaborate with external medical experts on medical affairs initiatives, including publications and medical education
• Assist in the preparation and execution of scientific materials for marketed and pipeline assets

Requirements

• Degree in life science or related field
• Minimum of 3-5+ years of related experience
• Ability to interpret and communicate complex scientific data to healthcare professionals
• Valid driver’s license, personal automobile, and active vehicle insurance
• Ability to comply with hospital vendor credentialing requirements
• Ability to travel daily and perform overnight/weekend travel up to 75%

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced scientific degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, DNP, MSN, MS, or Genetic Counselor)
• 8-10 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical/biotech, clinical, or academic areas
• Experience in Duchenne muscular dystrophy, neuromuscular disorders, genetics, or rare/orphan products
• Experience in small, rapidly growing biotech or start-up environments
• Proven ability to build strategic, long-term partnerships and tailored engagement plans
