Medical Science Liaison I, Specialties

Responsibilities

• Represent GeneDx as the genomic and clinical expert to clinicians, hospitals, and academic institutions
• Build relationships with regional key opinion leaders and key decision makers
• Deliver scientific/clinical presentations on genomics and genetic testing
• Support healthcare providers in implementing programs for pre-test counseling and test result interpretation
• Gather and share client insights regarding regional needs and gaps in genomic services
• Partner with Regional Sales Directors to ensure sales teams have necessary product knowledge and skills
• Direct execution of sales strategies and tactics in partnership with leadership

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Genetic Counseling
• 3+ years of experience in a clinical, academic, or industry role as a genetic counselor
• Less than 2 years of experience in an MSL or similar industry role
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong presentation and public speaking skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Willingness to travel 60% of the time within the assigned Mid-Atlantic region
