About the role

Responsibilities

  • Communicate complex, cutting-edge scientific information and research concepts to healthcare decision-makers and academic medical centers.
  • Provide clinical and economic value information to payers and formulary decision-makers.
  • Identify and train members of the Amgen speakers’ bureau to ensure they are updated on new data.
  • Respond to requests for investigator-sponsored research proposals and support Amgen-sponsored research.
  • Provide scientific insights based on field interactions with healthcare thought leaders to internal Amgen partners.
  • Cultivate scientific relationships between Amgen and Fellows in training.
  • Support commercial and corporate accounts by providing scientific support for HCP inquiries in compliance with MSL standards.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree OR Master’s degree with 3 years of Medical Affairs experience OR Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of Medical Affairs experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O. (other doctoral degrees considered).
  • 3 or more years of experience in a medically related field, including clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research.
  • Current experience in Scientific Affairs or Medical Affairs at a biotech or pharmaceutical company.
  • Hematology therapeutic area expertise.
