About the role
Responsibilities
- Communicate complex, cutting-edge scientific information and research concepts to Hematology healthcare decision-makers and academic medical centers
- Provide clinical and economic value information to payers and formulary decision-makers
- Identify and train members of the Amgen speakers’ bureau to ensure they are updated on new data
- Respond to requests for investigator-sponsored research proposals and support Amgen-sponsored research
- Provide scientific insights based on field interactions with healthcare thought leaders to internal Amgen partners
- Cultivate scientific relationships between Amgen and Fellows in training
- Lead or participate in committees and project teams that support MSL strategies and tactics
Requirements
- Doctorate degree OR Master’s degree with 3 years of Medical Affairs experience OR Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of Medical Affairs experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O.
- 3 or more years of experience in a medically related field, including clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research
- Current experience in Scientific Affairs or Medical Affairs at a biotech or pharmaceutical company
- Hematology therapeutic area expertise
