About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide leading researchers and practitioners with precise scientific and clinical knowledge to address clinical care gaps and research questions.
- Act as a primary interface between Lilly Medical and scientific experts to facilitate scientific exchange and collaborative research.
- Partner with clinical development to support studies and investigators, aiding in site identification, selection, and recruitment.
- Implement strategic territory plans by analyzing customer data and prioritizing engagement through face-to-face and virtual interactions.
- Synthesize and communicate actionable clinical insights to internal Lilly Medical and cross-functional teams to inform strategic direction.
- Execute all field activities compliantly, adhering to all internal and external governing requirements, procedures, and laws.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in health sciences (e.g., PharmD, MD, PhD) in a medically related field.
- Minimum of two years of relevant clinical or therapeutic area experience (preferred for PharmD, MD, PhD).
- Ability to travel up to 80%, including potential weekend commitments.
- Strong scientific and clinical acumen with the ability to communicate complex content clearly and concisely.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a field-based environment while managing multiple priorities.
- High emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills for professional relationship building.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a field-based working environment.
- Specific experience in Neurology is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with health systems, academic communities, and medical research processes.
- Proficiency with digital platforms used for virtual healthcare professional engagement.
