About the role

Responsibilities

  • Engage in continuous learning to maintain high-level technical expertise within the assigned therapeutic area.
  • Act as a trusted, unbiased resource for scientific and clinical experts by providing accurate, up-to-date medical information.
  • Facilitate scientific exchange through customer-facing activities, utilizing emotional intelligence and strategic thinking.
  • Implement and evaluate strategic territory plans, prioritizing core MSL activities and utilizing analytics for customer identification.
  • Synthesize and communicate actionable clinical insights to internal medical and cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal networks and field-based colleagues to ensure a coordinated customer experience.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in health sciences (e.g., PharmD, MD, PhD) in a medically related field.
  • Masters level degree (e.g., BSN, RPh, PA, NP) considered with 5+ years of relevant clinical, research, or industry experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 80% and work up to 4 to 6 weekends per year.
  • Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in strategic and critical thinking to analyze and interpret complex information.
  • Proficiency in using field-based electronic communication tools and literature identification.
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to build professional relationships and networks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two to three years of relevant clinical or therapeutic area experience in addition to an advanced degree.
  • Experience in the endocrine-related therapeutic area.
  • Previous experience in a field-based working environment.
  • Familiarity with health systems, academic communities, and medical research processes.
