Medical Science Liaison - Diabetes

Responsibilities

• Serve as a scientific resource for Canadian healthcare providers in the field of Cardiometabolic health, including Diabetes and Obesity.
• Provide healthcare providers (HCPs) with precise scientific and clinical knowledge to address inbound requests.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external customers, including scientific experts, researchers, and clinical investigators.
• Synthesize and communicate actionable clinical insights to internal Lilly Medical and cross-functional teams.
• Execute role responsibilities compliantly, adhering to all internal and external governing requirements and laws.
• Manage territory activities within Eastern Ontario, including daily travel and periodic overnight commitments.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in health sciences (e.g., PharmD, MD, PhD) is required.
• Minimum of one year of relevant clinical or therapeutic area experience is desired.
• Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to convey complex scientific content clearly.
• Digital competency with the ability to leverage field-based tools and virtual engagement platforms.
• Ability to travel extensively within Eastern Ontario and occasionally outside the province/country.
• High emotional intelligence and ability to build professional networks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL).
• Fluency in French.
• Experience in the cardiometabolic therapeutic area.
