About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as a scientific resource for Canadian healthcare providers in the field of Cardiometabolic health, including Diabetes and Obesity.
- Provide healthcare providers (HCPs) with precise scientific and clinical knowledge to address inbound requests.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external customers, including scientific experts, researchers, and clinical investigators.
- Synthesize and communicate actionable clinical insights to internal Lilly Medical and cross-functional teams.
- Execute role responsibilities compliantly, adhering to all internal and external governing requirements and laws.
- Manage territory activities within Eastern Ontario, including daily travel and periodic overnight commitments.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in health sciences (e.g., PharmD, MD, PhD) is required.
- Minimum of one year of relevant clinical or therapeutic area experience is desired.
- Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to convey complex scientific content clearly.
- Digital competency with the ability to leverage field-based tools and virtual engagement platforms.
- Ability to travel extensively within Eastern Ontario and occasionally outside the province/country.
- High emotional intelligence and ability to build professional networks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL).
- Fluency in French.
- Experience in the cardiometabolic therapeutic area.
