About the role
Responsibilities
- Establish collaborations with external healthcare professionals, scientific opinion leaders, and institutions to discuss evidence-based medical information regarding BioNTech's oncology R&D portfolio.
- Develop and execute a strategic vision for the assigned territory, including key account mapping and impactful medical engagement planning.
- Cultivate partnerships with academic centers, centers of excellence, and integrated care systems to drive regional impact.
- Deliver medical education and updates while gathering actionable insights from U.S. healthcare professionals (HCPs).
- Support the identification of U.S. clinical trial sites and opportunities aligned with the oncology strategy.
- Document and communicate field insights to relevant internal stakeholders and ensure compliance with local policies and safety reporting.
- Provide input and support for oncology conferences, medical educational programs, and advisory boards.
Requirements
- Advanced scientific degree (PharmD, MD/DO, or PhD).
- 3-5+ years of oncology MSL or comparable industry/clinical experience in a customer-facing role.
- Working therapeutic knowledge of gynecologic malignancies or breast cancer.
- Proven ability to engage with the medical/scientific community and build professional networks.
- Strong presentation, communication, and cross-functional teamwork skills.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel 50-70% within the territory.
- Proficiency with remote collaboration tools (MS Teams, Office 365).
Preferred Qualifications
- Established network of external experts in gynecologic malignancies or breast cancer.
- Experience with clinical trial protocols and the drug development lifecycle.
- Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and PhRMA Code.
