About the role

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain credible therapy area and product knowledge to support launches in Rare Bone & Endocrinology and Rare Tumours.
  • Establish and grow scientific partnerships with regional thought leaders, KEEs, and specialist centres.
  • Drive scientific exchange with HCPs and gather actionable insights to inform medical strategy and tactical planning.
  • Facilitate clinical pathway mapping and service optimisation initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Identify and progress potential research collaborations with centres of excellence.
  • Ensure all activities comply with the ABPI Code of Practice, company policies, and pharmacovigilance requirements.
  • Operate as a field medical expert with considerable national and occasional international travel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., Medicine, Pharmacy, or disease-related science).
  • Valid UK driving license.
  • Experience in relationship and stakeholder management.
  • Understanding of the UK rare disease healthcare landscape.
  • Knowledge of the ABPI Code of Practice and its practical application.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to interpret complex clinical information.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a cross-functional team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Higher degree in a science or business subject.
  • Existing knowledge of relevant rare disease therapy areas.
  • Experience in medical affairs, clinical practice, or the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
  • Project management accreditation or experience within medical affairs.
  • Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
