About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as a scientific liaison to the medical community, establishing and maintaining relationships with prominent experts and clinicians
- Network and partner with medical thought leaders, academic institutions, and managed care decision makers
- Communicate scientific/medical information and the commercial value of products to key internal and external audiences
- Identify potential new speakers and provide training on scientific content for sponsored external speaker programs
- Participate in national and regional conferences to support medical strategy and monitor competitive trends
- Evaluate potential external clinical research collaboration opportunities and facilitate investigator-initiated trials
- Collaborate with medical affairs and clinical development teams to address unmet customer needs
Requirements
- Doctorate degree OR Master's degree with 3 years of Medical Affairs experience OR Bachelor's degree with 5 years of Medical Affairs experience
- Ability to travel up to 60% for territory management and conference attendance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new business applications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O. degree
- 2 years of proven experience in scientific or medical affairs within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills with a strong ability to network
