Medical Science Liaison

Responsibilities

• Network and partner with medical thought leaders, academic institutions, and healthcare decision makers
• Communicate scientific/medical information and product value to the medical community and internal audiences
• Identify potential new speakers and provide training on scientific content for external speaker programs
• Participate in national and regional scientific conferences to support medical strategy and monitor clinical trends
• Evaluate external clinical research collaboration opportunities and facilitate investigator-initiated trials
• Monitor the competitive environment for advances in therapeutic areas and provide feedback to leadership

Requirements

• Doctorate degree OR Master’s degree with 3 years of Medical Affairs experience OR Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of Medical Affairs experience
• Ability to travel up to 60% for territory management and conference attendance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new business applications
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O.
• Two years of proven experience in scientific or medical affairs at a biotech or pharmaceutical company
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills with a strong ability to network
