Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records in accordance with regulations and healthcare standards
• Classify disease diagnoses and medical procedures using the ICD coding system
• Enter coded data into the hospital information system for access by authorized parties
• Ensure the completeness and accuracy of medical record forms and data
• Process statistical data from medical records to generate reports as needed
• Implement quality service and safety procedures, including attending training and supporting hospital indicator achievements

Requirements

• Associate degree in Medical Records and Health Information or a related field
• Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and medical coding
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in using medical record management software
• Knowledge of medical terminology and health regulations
