Medical Radiation Technologist

Responsibilities

• Ensure radiation safety for multidisciplinary staff and patients
• Manage and troubleshoot medical equipment
• Perform intra-procedural monitoring and documentation
• Assist interventional cardiologists and clinical care teams with cardiac medical procedures in a sterile environment
• Monitor patient hemodynamics during procedures
• Support research projects and continuous quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Current registration as a Medical Radiation Technologist - Radiography with CMRITO
• Liability insurance through Ontario Association of Medical Radiation Sciences
• Bachelor of Medical Radiation Sciences from an accredited program
• Basic Cardiovascular Life Support (BCLS) certification
• Minimum two years of related work experience
• Ability to respond to on-call notifications within 45 minutes
• Ability to wear lead aprons

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology experience
