Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT)/Bone Density

Responsibilities

• Perform medical imaging procedures, including x-rays and bone density scans, according to prescriptions and protocols
• Act as the Radiation Protection Officer
• Conduct daily Quality Assurance procedures
• Manage administrative tasks such as patient registration, medical appointments, and procedural explanations
• Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular disinfecting
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and administrative staff to ensure high-quality customer service
• Participate in implementing directives from Accreditation Canada

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited medical radiology program
• Current certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
• Bone density certification
• Strong professional judgment, organizational skills, and ability to manage time effectively
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with computers

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in Sonography or X-Ray technology
• Experience operating a GE Prodigy Bone Densitometry device
