Medical Radiation Technologist, Breast Imaging

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality Breast Imaging procedures using digital equipment
• Conduct digital quality assurance meeting mammography accreditation standards
• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography
• Complete breast interventional procedures
• Ensure respectful communication with patients and team members
• Participate in teaching and continuing education

Requirements

• CMRITO registration
• Certification by CAMRT or OAMRS with current membership and PLI
• Previous Breast Imaging experience with CAMRT Breast Imaging 1 and 2 certificates
• Completion of 15+ hours of Mammography continuing education within the past 3 years
• BCLS program, Level II: Basic Rescuer certification
• Strong communication and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Digital Mammography and equipment quality control
• Experience at an OBSP Facility
• Experience at a CAR Mammography Accredited Facility
• Breast ultrasound experience with DMS registration
• Previous technologist experience in a hospital environment
