Medical Oncologist

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage patients with various malignancies, including solid tumors and selected hematologic cancers
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and hormonal therapy
• Administer and monitor systemic cancer treatments, ensuring safe and effective delivery of chemotherapy protocols
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary oncology teams and participate in tumor board meetings
• Manage treatment-related toxicities and complications associated with systemic cancer therapies
• Provide counseling and education to patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and prognosis
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical records in compliance with hospital policies

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of experience post specialist or board certification
• Recognized oncology specialist qualification (e.g., American Board, UK CCT/MRCP, European Board, or equivalent)
• Eligibility for DOH, DHA, or MOH licensing in the UAE
