About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and administrative expertise at the reception desk to ensure high-quality patient care
- Manage patient scheduling, including booking, canceling, and rescheduling appointments
- Communicate effectively with patients and providers via telephone and in-person
- Perform patient check-in procedures and accurately document registration details
- Handle insurance verification and verify patient demographics
- Manage medical records by filing, retrieving, and delivering documents to appropriate departments
- Process financial transactions, including collecting co-pays and entering charges and payments into the system
- Maintain office efficiency by managing multi-line phones, faxing documents, and using office equipment
Requirements
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- At least one (1) year of experience in a Medical Office Front Desk role
- Proficiency with basic office equipment such as copiers and fax machines
- Strong computer literacy and ability to navigate office software
