About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and legal memorandums
- E-file court documents in state and federal courts
- Conduct legal research and factual investigations
- Prepare discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses
- Coordinate and summarize depositions
- Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and appellate documents
- Manage case logistics, including calendaring hearings and deadlines
- Liaise between trial teams and internal/external third parties
- Assist with witness preparation and case settlements
Requirements
- Juris Doctorate degree or equivalent work experience
- 1+ years of litigation experience preferred
- Experience in Medical Malpractice, Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, or General Liability
- Knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, and court procedures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Medical Malpractice Plaintiff Actions
- Federal Judicial Clerkship
