Medical Laboratory Technologist - Blood Bank

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing on blood, body fluids, and other specimens using manual and automated methods
• Ensure accurate recording, validation, and reporting of results in the Laboratory Information System (LIS)
• Conduct quality control (QC) and participate in proficiency testing (PT) programs
• Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment in accordance with SOPs
• Prepare specimens, reagents, and control materials following safety and quality standards
• Monitor inventory levels of reagents and consumables to ensure uninterrupted operations
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and safety standards including CAP, ISO 15189, DOH/DHA, and JCI
• Collaborate with internal teams to support efficient laboratory workflow and patient care

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Science, Biology, or equivalent
• Valid DOH/DHA license or eligibility as a Medical Laboratory Technologist
• Experience working in an accredited clinical laboratory (CAP or ISO 15189 preferred)
• Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, instrumentation, and quality standards
• Proficiency in Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and basic IT tools
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
