Medical Laboratory Scientist

Responsibilities

• Perform high-complexity clinical laboratory testing, including automated and manual methods, in areas such as hematology, chemistry, and immunology
• Generate accurate and timely laboratory results to support patient care and clinical research activities
• Maintain laboratory instrumentation, troubleshoot technical issues, and manage reagent inventory
• Ensure strict compliance with CLIA, CAP, GCLP, and ICH E6 Good Clinical Practice guidelines
• Execute quality control protocols, document QC activities, and participate in assay validation and method improvements
• Support internal and external audits, inspections, and quality management initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field
• National certification as MLS/MT (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent)
• Knowledge of CLIA, CAP, and GCLP regulatory standards
• Proficiency in laboratory instrumentation, troubleshooting, and complex mathematical calculations
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with high attention to detail
