Medical Information Specialist

Responsibilities

• Respond to medical information inquiries from healthcare professionals, patients, and payers using evidence-based, nonpromotional information.
• Research and critically evaluate medical literature to create high-quality custom responses.
• Identify and document adverse events and product quality complaints in compliance with FDA regulations and standard operating procedures.
• Perform medical writing tasks, including drafting FAQs, Scientific Response Documents (SRDs), and Custom Response Documents (CRDs).
• Manage inquiries across multiple channels including phone, email, CRM, and chat.
• Support scientific medical affairs booths and participate in on-call responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Advanced healthcare degree (PharmD preferred or higher).
• Strong clinical background with deep therapeutic expertise.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to critically evaluate complex medical literature.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pharmacist license.
• Experience working in a pharmaceutical industry environment or a medical contact center.
• Proficiency with telephony systems, Medical Information databases, and Microsoft Office.
• Specialized experience in therapeutic areas such as Oncology, Hematology, Immunology, Neurology, or Cardiology.
