About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform bone density and body composition scans to provide diagnostic data for personalized health recommendations
  • Ensure accurate patient identification, screening, and maintenance of patient confidentiality
  • Explain imaging procedures to members and assist with positioning to ensure high-quality results
  • Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records within required clinical systems
  • Perform routine equipment performance checks and maintain organized, clean procedure areas
  • Lead training and evaluation of new imaging technologists to establish clinical excellence standards
  • Collaborate with physicians, health coaches, and clinical leadership to optimize workflows and member experience

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited medical radiography program
  • Current certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
  • Current MRT registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT)
  • Proficiency in performing bone densitometry scans and body composition imaging
  • Proficiency with PACS/RIS and Electronic Health Records (EHR) platforms
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work within an interdisciplinary care team

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience working in bone mineral density (BMD) imaging
  • Experience operating GE Lunar Prodigy systems
  • Experience in a preventative health, executive health, or private healthcare environment
  • Ability to create clinical protocols and manuals for team standardization
