Medical Imaging Technologist

Responsibilities

• Perform digital mammography examinations, including 2D and 3D tomosynthesis and diagnostic x-ray procedures
• Conduct radiological examinations according to prescriptions and protocols while maintaining radiation safety standards
• Prepare patients for examinations by reviewing case histories and explaining procedures with empathy
• Verify and review images for technical accuracy and collaborate with radiologists to ensure diagnostic requirements are met
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and workflow efficiency
• Maintain current knowledge of breast imaging through continuing education

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of digital mammography experience
• Diploma or Degree in Medical Radiation Technology from an accredited institution
• CAMRT certification in mammography
• Experience in performing breast ultrasound procedures
• Proficiency with EMR and PACS/Radiology Information Systems
• Current Basic Life Support (CPR) certification for healthcare providers

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in ultrasound-guided breast interventional procedures
