About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform nuclear medicine procedures and quality assurance for PET according to protocols
  • Ensure MRI Safety Standards of Practice are strictly followed
  • Operate and troubleshoot medical imaging and ancillary equipment
  • Prepare written and electronic reports for procedures and test results
  • Act as Radiation Safety Designate, responding to incidents or spills
  • Assist in the preparation of manuscripts, grant applications, and data processing
  • Support teaching, training, and educational research activities
  • Utilize PACS to review, manipulate, and archive digital medical images
  • Follow hospital and departmental research policies to ensure technical quality

Requirements

  • Certification in Nuclear Medicine from a recognized academic institution
  • Current registration with the CMRITO
  • Completion of a BCLS program (Level II: Basic Rescuer)
  • Minimum of three years of recent clinical experience in Nuclear Medicine
  • Proficiency in computer skills and PACS
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-patient volume setting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Competence in operating PET diagnostic equipment
  • Experience in a research-intensive clinical environment
