About the role
Responsibilities
- Build MRI protocols on scanners as outlined in research documents
- Perform PET-MRI and MRI procedures to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment
- Ensure MRI safety standards of practice are followed at all times
- Operate and troubleshoot medical imaging and ancillary equipment
- Prepare written and electronic reports to document procedures and test results
- Assist in the preparation of manuscripts, grant applications, and data processing
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals intravenously under physician direction
- Calculate, measure, and record radiation dosage of radiopharmaceuticals
- Perform venipuncture or catheterization for radiopharmaceutical administration
- Monitor radiation work areas and maintain equipment checks
Requirements
- Completion of a recognized post-diploma program in MRI or equivalent
- Certification in Nuclear Medicine from a recognized academic institution
- Minimum three years of recent clinical MRI experience
- Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
- Approval by CAMRT to practice Nuclear Medicine in Canada
- Completion of Cross-section Anatomy and contrast injection courses
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (B.C.L.S) Level LL certification
- Ability to operate PET diagnostic equipment

- Previous Cardiac MRI experience
