Medical Imaging Receptionist

Responsibilities

• Answer, screen, and triage incoming telephone calls
• Receive patients and visitors arriving for tests, procedures, and appointments
• Schedule patients for routine tests, special procedures, and urgent or emergency appointments
• Follow established departmental procedures to ensure efficient patient flow
• Provide routine clerical and administrative support services to health professionals

Requirements

• Post-secondary certificate in Office Administration (up to 1 year) or recognized equivalent
• 6 to 12 months of experience using computer applications or health information systems (e.g., EPIC or MS Office)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in front-line customer service
• General knowledge of office practices, processes, and procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Knowledge of Radiology Information Systems (RIS)
• Experience working in a healthcare environment
• Proficiency in a second language
• Experience with CD burning software
