Medical Front Desk-Patient Engagement Specialist II-IHC

Responsibilities

• Welcome, schedule, and check in patients in both in-person and virtual settings
• Manage phone calls and schedule appointments according to established guidelines
• Ensure patient forms, consent packets, and insurance information are accurately completed and uploaded to the EMR
• Collect co-payments, deductibles, and handle other financial transactions
• Complete document scanning on the same business day they are received
• Meet department metrics for outreach and scheduling activities
• Demonstrate empathy and compassion during all patient interactions

Requirements

• GED or High School Diploma
• Valid and current CPR and First Aid Certification
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card (Denova will assist with obtaining this upon offer acceptance)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm

Preferred Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification or Associate degree in a health-related field
• Minimum of six months of experience in a medical front office or customer service role
• Proficiency in EMR, billing software, and insurance carrier portals
• Bilingual capabilities
