Medical Equipment Programmer

Responsibilities

• Receive and review medical prescriptions to identify required parameters for medical equipment programming.
• Transport Home Choice machines to designated areas following safe handling protocols for medical equipment.
• Program Home Choice machines according to clinical parameters, ensuring data and configuration accuracy.
• Prepare equipment for subsequent validation by clinical personnel, ensuring optimal condition for use.
• Perform product conditioning, including cleaning, verification of functionality, and correct identification/labeling.
• Manage and control documentation, including programming records, control formats, logs, and physical/digital archives.
• Ensure traceability and security of all information related to programmed equipment.
• Collaborate with clinical, technical, and administrative staff to ensure operational continuity.
• Identify and report any deviations, incidents, or equipment failures during the programming process.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in programming, conditioning, handling, or preparing medical equipment or health sector products.
• Degree in Health Sciences, Nursing, Chemistry, Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data entry and information control.
• Knowledge of product conditioning processes (cleaning, preparation, and labeling).

Preferred Qualifications

• General knowledge of medical equipment operation and basic understanding of clinical indications.
• Strong attention to detail and a high sense of responsibility.
• Ability to follow strict medical instructions and standardized procedures.
• Strong organizational skills and experience with documentary control.
